The host at Laxmi Guesthouse B&B was cute and kind. She went out of her way to provide us with helpful guidance and even cooked us delicious homemade Indian food. The room we stayed in was spacious and comfortable, with a beautiful view. Despite a few minor inconveniences mentioned in other reviews, overall I would highly recommend this guesthouse for a pleasant stay in the area.

During my New Year's stay, I appreciated the picturesque view from the terrace, as well as the helpfulness of the staff in providing advice on getting around the city. the shower was in good condition and facilitated a comfortable experience. Another benefit was the free parking, although it was located on the street.
The breakfast was slightly disappointing as it lacked a filling range of options. I was uncomfortable with the situation when the host offered to cook us dinner without disclosing the price in advance.

The homemade dark bread at breakfast was a good treat. The room was super clean, and the décor was colorful and unique, with Hindu-inspired elements. The host was very friendly and interesting to talk with. The view from Barnaba Street was fine.
Absolutely nothing.

The location of this guesthouse is well-connected to the train station, making it easy to travel. being up on the hill, it is important to be aware of the safety in the surrounding area. the rooms are tidy and colorful, bathrooms are clean, and service is friendly. the breakfast is pleasant and includes coffee, juice, biscuits, and jam. the view is breathtaking and worth the uphill walk.
One minor thing to note is the lack of proper air conditioning in the rooms, making the nights uncomfortably hot during the summer months.

During my Christmas stay, I enjoyed the clean and tidy room, and the beautiful views of the harbor. The location, although uphill, provided a nice opportunity to walk and enjoy the scenery. the breakfast offered, included juice, yogurts, and biscuits, which I found satisfying.
Walking uphill to and from the hotel was a challenge and not ideal for those who don't enjoy walking much. the coffee machine was broken, causing inconvenience in the morning.
